Shadow

It's an experiment with the shadow.
Two different words- the real object and it's shadow.

Back on track

Recently, I've started archiving some of my works. Here are some of them. In the near future I'll upload more...

The first few pictures are the visuals of my final exhibition - it's not finished yet, but it gives you the feeling of how it is going to look like. The idea is about combining the structure of small pop up booklet with optical experiments I made as a part of my research. It has changed in to the exhibition panel which will use anamorphic and oblique perspective and will allow me to show my illusions in bigger format.

Here are photos of my new Curriculum Vitae ;-)

What my research project is about?

My research project explores the use of optical illusion within different graphic art disciplines. In particular the main focus point is to explore how and whether optical illusion can stimulate one’s imagination in order to support the meaning and presentation of visual information in the Graphic Arts.

This research question arises out of deeper concerns surrounding visual perception and “the process of the conquest of reality through art” (Gombrich, E H. 1982) – the debate on the subject of optical illusion phenomena originates from scientific, artistic, and psychological disciplines.

My motivation to accomplish this research results from significantly increased interest surrounding this debate, mostly within art. I will investigate how optical illusion can support visual communication and help an audience better understand what impact optical illusions have had on the Graphic Arts.

The Begining

Welcome!
From now on I will try to publish here some interesting thoughts, inspiration and findings related to my research project and Graphic Design in general.
